Idaho Nonprofit & Fundraising Company Licenses

Idaho Bingo and Raffle Licenses

Game Type:

Bingo and raffles

Agency:Idaho State Lottery - Enforcement Division
Organization Age Requirement:

1 year of continuous existence in the county they intend to operate games in.

Age Restrictions:

Participants must be at least 18 years old.

Prize Limits:

The maximum prize for a single game of bingo is $3,000 of cash or merchandise and not more than $25,000 of cash or merchandise can be offered during an 8 hour session. The maximum prize for a single raffle is $1,000.

Notes:

Licenses are required for charities with annual gross bingo revenue of more than $10,000. A raffle license is required if the aggregate value of merchandise prizes exceeds $5,000.

Notes:

Idaho charities must provide notice on the day they first enter into a charitable gift annuity agreement. Notices must identify the organization, certify that the organization is a charity and that the annuities issued are qualified charitable gift annuities, and be signed by an officer or director.

Not required



Charitable Solicitation Registration licensure is not required on the State level in Idaho.

  • The Idaho Charitable Solicitation Act prohibits false, deceptive, misleading, unfair, or unconscionable acts or practices in conducting charitable solicitation in Idaho. Charitable registration is not part of this law and is not required in Idaho.
  • The Idaho Telephone Solicitation Act requires registration with the attorney general ten (10) days prior to telephone soliciting.
  • Some Idaho counties and municipalities may require charities that solicit in-person to register prior to fundraising.

Professional Solicitor licensure is not required on the State level in Idaho.

Solicitors who are not employed by a professional fundraising firm but operate independently may be required to register. Employees of professional fundraising firms are generally not required to register as an individual solicitor in Idaho.
