Top 5 Tips on Registering a Business in Wyoming
- Corporations and LLCs must appoint a registered agent. We'll explain the considerations for serving as your own agent. The agent must sign the formation documents.
- Submit the original signed formation documents to the Wyoming Secretary of State. The state will e-mail you with an electronic certificate for evidence of filing.
- Within sixty (60) days after filing articles of incorporation, a corporation shall provide information to its registered agent. We'll detail the list of information that must be furnished.
- Wyoming does NOT offer a consolidated state tax registration application. Apply for individual business tax accounts as needed. Wyoming does NOT levy corporate income tax. Wyoming does levy excise/sales/use, mineral, and property taxes.
- Corporations and LLCs must file annual reports with the Wyoming Secretary of State.
